Biography:

I am an anesthesiologist registered in Suriname at the SRC (Specialist Registration Committee). After three years working as a non-trainee resident in the ICU at the Academic Hospital Paramaribo in Suriname, I began my specialist training in anesthesiology. I completed clinical rotations in both Suriname and the Netherlands, and since September 2020, I have been practicing as an anesthesiologist at St. Vincentius Hospital in Paramaribo, Suriname. With nearly six years of experience as an anesthesiologist, I have developed expertise in perioperative care, procedural sedation, regional anesthesia techniques, and intensive care medicine. My particular interest lies in developing, implementing, and optimizing standardized care processes to enhance the quality, safety, and efficiency of patient care. Additionally, I have worked as a locum anesthesiologist at clinics in Curaçao and Aruba, gaining experience across various healthcare systems and clinical settings. Alongside my full-time clinical role, I serve as an instructor for the Primary Trauma Care (PTC) course.
