Biography:

Dr. Kow Entsua-Mensah obtained a BSc in Medical Sciences and an MBChB degree in 1996 and 1999 respectively from the University of Ghana Medical School. • He entered the West African College of Surgeons in 2002 and passed out in October 2007 with a Fellowship in Cardiothoracic Surgery, FWACS (Cth). • He also trained at the Walter Sisulu Paediatric Cardiac Centre for Africa at the Sunninghill Hospital in South Africa from August 2011 to July 2012. • In December 2014, he was awarded a fellowship by election by the Ghana College of Physicians and Surgeons, FGCS (Cth). He is a member of the following professional bodies: • Ghana College of Physicians and Surgeons • West African College of Surgeons • African Society for Paediatric and Congenital Heart Surgery • World Society for Paediatric and Congenital Heart Surgery He is a Consultant Paediatric Cardiothoracic Surgeon with the National Cardiothoracic Centre in Accra, Ghana, a part-time lecturer in Cardiothoracic surgery at the University of Ghana , Family Health Medical Schools, Accra, He is currently the Director of the National Cardiothoracic Centre.

Research Interests:

Paediatric Cardiothoracic Surgery, Congenital Heart Surgery, Paediatric Cardiac Surgery, and Surgical Management of Congenital Heart Disease.
